This page contains information about the Mountain Devils bushwalking and social activities program.

It is essential you book-in by mid-week. Leaders may place limits on the numbers attending and failure to book-in early can result in missing out on a place or the activity not proceeding. Also, if you print this list out and stick it on the fridge please don't forget to check back here for any changes that may have occurred.

Walk Grading Guide.

Distance:Terrain:
A - 0 to 5km's.
B - > 5 to 10km's.
C - > 10 to 15km's.
D - > 15 to 20km's.
E - > 20km's.
1 - Graded track, some incline.
2 - Graded track, hills, creek crossings.
3 - Rough track, steep sections, creek crossings.
4 - Off-track, moderate.
5 - Off-track, hard.
6 - Rock scrambling, exposure to heights.

Been a few years since we last did this walk. 12km. Views across Nattai Wilderness from lookouts along the way. One of the best walks in the Nattai.

Sun 21 Cape Bailey Track and Lighthouse.
It's a coastal walk from Captain Cook's landing to the lighthouse and returning through sands dunes and bushland.

Sun 28 Mermaids Pool.
A pretty 8km walk along the banks and high above Bargo River. Spectacular sandstone cliffs. Stop for a paddle in the water if the weather is hot.

A 10km walk across the harbour bridge then follow paths past Opera House, Mrs Macquaries Chair to the War Memorial at Hyde Park. Stairs on both sides of the bridge. Public transport, so bring your Opal Card.

Sun 11 Hazelbrook - Waterfall Way and Terrace Falls.
At least 5 waterfalls on this beautiful walk in the Blue Mountains.  It is undulating in many parts although classed as a medium circuit walk.

Sun 18 Rileys Mountain Track.
Undulating firetrail walk from Mulgoa to Nepean Narrows Lookout meandering through forest. With panoramic views over Nepean gorge. Some steep sections. 13Km return walk.

Sun 25 Garawarra Farm to Wattamolla - RNP.
Descend Burgh Ridge to Burning Palms. Head north along the Coastal Track past Era, Garie (steep ascent) and then onto Wattamolla. Car shuffle (bring NPWS pass if you have one). 12-15km. Great coastal scenery.

Strenuous walk to the top of Mt Jellore. Spectacular views across Nattai Wilderness. Approx 12km with 500m ascent/descent. Steep descent/ascent of Jellore Ck (x2) and steep ascent/descent of Mt Jellore. Members only.

Sun 30 Wollongong Harbour to Towradgi.
Along shared walkway/cycleway with some unsealed paths. This walk is an easy level walk. Return to Wollongong Harbour for fish and chips for lunch.

NOTE: Entry fees apply to walks in the some National Parks. Members with an NPWS Exemption Card should bring it along.

Most club activities start from The Catholic Club carpark, access the club carpark from the Camden Rd entrance and park in the first carpark area on the left. Link to meeting spot location map.
Please check with the Leader for the departure time from the designated meeting spot, please don't just "show up on the day" as our Activity Leaders need to know the number of likely participants before the activity.
