This page contains information about the Mountain Devils bushwalking and social activities program.
You need to book in by the Friday before the activity. Leaders may place limits on the numbers attending and failure to book early can result in missing out on a place or the activity not proceeding. Also, if you print this list out and stick it on the fridge please don't forget to check back here for any changes that may have occurred.
It is our intention to make our activities safe, enjoyable, and compliant with current COVID safe guidelines. Participation is at the discretion of the leader.
Please inform the activity leader if you:
- Have recently travelled overseas, interstate or to a 'hotspot'.
- Have a cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath or are ill or have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
- Have recently had contact with individuals who are ill or whom have tested positive for COVID - 19.
- Have visited a venue where cases have been reported.
- Any other recent illness, accident or medical procedure which might otherwise limit your participation in this activity.
Please note that wearing an appropriate face mask will be a requirement if public transport is required to complete the activity. Appropriate use of hand sanitiser is strongly encouraged. Additionally, please observe social distancing guidelines during the conduct of the activity.

Sun 15 | Captain Cook Bridge to Brighton le Sands. After a few hills, across the bridge and then along Botany Bay foreshore. All on parks and paths. For morning tea, choose a café or picnic in the park. Go for a paddle or swim. Many exit points. Public transport. |

Sun 15 | Magdala Creek Circuit - Springwood. Lovely scenic walk through a valley in the lower Blue Mountains. Mild difficulty but plenty of time for breaks. Hope to see some wildflowers. |

Around Diamond Bay and up to historic Macquarie Lighthouse, then down the coastline to The Gap and Watsons Bay. Spectacular ocean outlook and harbour views back to the city. Public transport. Fish'n'chips lunch included, Bar on board, NO BYO, arrive by public transport or by own arrangements. Cost $58 or groups over 20 & concession $48. Sun 21 | Box Vale Track - Welby. Popular walk on formation of historic coal mining railway line. Through cuttings, along embankments and through a tunnel 84 metres long to a lookout with stunning views over Nattai River Gorge. Bring torch. |

Most club activities start from The Catholic Club carpark, access the club carpark from the Camden Rd entrance and park in the first carpark area on the left. Link to meeting spot location map.
Please check with the Leader for the departure time from the designated meeting spot, please don't just "show up on the day" as our Activity Leaders need to know the number of likely participants before the activity.
